This is one of two islands found on this guitar. This island represents the duality between finding peace and becoming isolated.

There were many times in my life when I felt as though I was on such an island — in need of help, yet alone and without anyone in sight.

By the same token, I also found refuge there. Ultimately I was nurtured by what surrounded me. Life depends on recognizing when to take refuge and when to wade out from the shore.
